File Your Late Federal Tax Return Easily

The best bargain this holiday season isn’t available in any store, this year, why not file your late federal tax return?

Whether you need to get your 2005 late federal tax return in order, pore of the 2006 Federal income tax rate table to finally make it through that filing, or collect on your 2007 Federal tax rebates, there’s no better time to get that problem solved.

But why spend hours slaving away over your 2008 tax preparation, when 2009 is just around the corner? There are plenty of great reasons: first, the IRS has a long memory. You may not be anticipating money back from the government but your 2006 tax forms could be a gold mine: you may still have a chance to collect a refund if you overpaid. For older unfiled taxes, the fines may still be accumulating interest.

The holidays bring lots of stress, but some downtime, too. Why not use some of the last to mitigate the first? If you file your 2007 Federal income tax, you may get some money back (always nice to have around when you’re wondering if you can splurge on gifts). And second, you’ll be less stressed when you only have to worry about decorations, presents, travel, and in-laws, instead of all of the above and filling out your 2007 Federal tax worksheet.

Is this really the time to do your 2007 Federal tax return? Of course! Everyone loves a new year that means a fresh start — and if the next year is the first time in a while that you haven’t had to worry about your 2005 income tax forms, it’s probably going to be off to a great start.
