Last Day To File 2011 Taxes & Get 2011 Refund Is April 15, 2015

In order to receive a 2011 tax refund, your 2011 return needs to be postmarked on April 15, 2015.

The IRS limits the time period you can claim a tax refund to three years. The statute of limitations means the last day to claim a 2010 refund was April 15, 2014. It also means the last day to claim your 2011 refund is quickly approaching.

The very last day you can claim a 2011 Refund is April 15, 2015.

Luckily, you can prepare your 2011 tax return on PriorTax and still receive your 2011 refund.

Will I Get My 2011 Tax Refund if I mail the 2011 Return on April 15th?

According to the IRS, you must have your 2011 tax return postmarked by midnight on April 15, 2015 in order to receive your 2011 tax refund. That means you CAN NOT prepare your 2011 taxes at 11:59 PM (or whatever your case may be) and place them in the mail after midnight.

The bottom line is- if you mail your 2011 tax return after April 15, 2015, you will not receive your 2011 tax refund.
