Payment Voucher - Form 1040-V

Payment vouchers, part of the IRS’s effort to modernize its system, help the agency process payments more accurately and efficiently.

Mail Form 1040-V in with your check or money order for any balance due on the “Amount you owe” line of your 1040, 1040A, or 1040EZ.

Note that using Form 1040-V is not required, but it is recommended in order to speed processing of your return.

If you owe tax, PriorTax will provide you with a pre-printed payment voucher. All you have to do is mail it in to the IRS along with your check or money order.
