The taxpayer TIN in the return must not be the same as a TIN reported in a previously accepted electronic return for the same tax year.


Fix #1: Sign into your PriorTax account and update your TIN right from the rejection status page. Resubmit for filing.


Fix #2: You may need to paperfile your return for this year. You should also contact the IRS to identify who previously filed using your TIN.
