The SSN and last name of your qualifying child for the earned income credit (EIC) do not match what is currently listed in the IRS e-file database and Social Security Administration.
Fix #1: Sign into your PriorTax account to double check that the SSN and full name of your child were entered correctly. If not, you can make the necessary updates right from your rejection status page. Resubmit for filing.
Fix #2: If the information you provided within your PriorTax account seems to be correct to the best of your knowledge, you may need to paperfile your return for this tax year. You can sign into your account with us to print, sign, and mail your return to the IRS. You should also contact the Social Security Administration to make sure that the information they have on file is correct for your qualifying child.
