Why can’t I e-file prior year tax returns using your program?

You can always e-file your current year return with PriorTax. The IRS typically closes e-filing for current year taxes during October after tax season. 

However, the IRS does not accept any e-filed prior year returns. All prior year returns have to be paper filed and mailed to the IRS. This is true not just of PriorTax but for all online tax preparation companies.
