Important Tax dates:

1. January 1, 2025 was the first day you could start on your 2024 tax return with us.
2. January 27, 2025 was when the IRS started accepting e-filed tax returns.
3. April 15, 2025 was the last day to file, request a tax extension, and pay if you owed taxes to the IRS.
4. October 15, 2025 was the tax extension deadline.
5. December 19, 2025 was the last day that you could e-file your 2024 tax return in 2025.
6. From December 19, 2025 to ~January 25, 2026; 2024 tax returns must be paper filed.
7. E-filing of 2024 tax returns resumes on ~January 26, 2026
8. ~November 15, 2026 is the last day that you can e-file your 2024 tax return in 2026.
9. From ~November 16, 2026 to ~January 25, 2027, 2024 tax returns must be paper filed.
10. E-filing of 2024 tax returns resumes on ~January 26, 2027
11. On ~November 15, 2027, e-filing of 2024 tax returns will be closed for good.
12. ~April 15, 2028 is the last day that you can claim your 2024 tax refund.
13. After April 15, 2028 the return should be filed, but a refund cannot be claimed.
